Garden Clubs
The Hammond Garden Club (Unlinked Sept 08 - Original URL points to another website)
Founded in 2001 and federated with The Gardening Club of Indiana, USA.
This club has a very enthusiastic membership with meetings, events and plant sales organised by the
executive team, Dolly Foster, Nancy Dokytsz, Kathy Johnston and Bernadette Fortuna.
A great initiative, and a great idea for other Garden Clubs, is their decision to team up
with the Hammond Parks Foundation to beautify the city, in a project aptly called “The Plantings in the Park”.
