My Review Notes:- As usual the Buddleia\'s are a powerful magnet for the butterflies, Black Night is right in front of my bedroom window just over the computer, (have 3 different varieties) it is always full of butterflies, humming birds, sphinx moths and an assortment of other flying critters to entertain me with their antics.

My favourite plant:- Asclepias (red butterfly - annual)
My Review Notes:- Asclepias is rather unspectular and a bit plain, when viewed alone, but over all it is pleasing to view, this is worthy of my garden and i am glad the seedlings survived that late spring hail storm. This plant is a powerful attractant for the butterflys.

My favourite plant:- Heuchera
My Review Notes:- In zone 5 I really find this to be quite an outstanding family. You can\'t beat the color range in foliage from greens to red, purple and amber. The flower also attracts humming birds. I have several in my gardens that range from red-purple to one called Geisha\'s Fan which is frosted lightly with silver undertones. They stay in color all winter for the most part and stand up well to the heat in high summer and the blistering cold of winter. They range over a large number of zones.

My favourite plant:- Sarcococca ruscifolia
My Review Notes:- Truly a favorite, as its glossy leaves provide year round interest, in a neat, vase like shape. Late in the year, it develops shiny purple berries which precede insignificant flowers... Insignificant if you are LOOKING at them.. but OH what a fragrance.. gets my blood moving in early February.. the fragrance is elusive, but etheral, surrounding you like a mist... Wonderful plant to have, since it is a conversation pieces due to its early February fragrance.

From a young age, produces cylindrical, violet-blue cones, 2-3 inches long, with either hidden or protruding bracts. Check out http://www.loneelder.com/sales/images/PAHS_Cone.jpg for a picture!
