GARDEN TO VISIT  -    Sherwood Garden Newton St Cyres, Exeter, England

Sherwood has a National Collection of Magnolias, Knaphill Azaleas and Berberis.
The gardens occupy a 15 acre site. Sir John Quicke and his wife Prue moved to Sherwood in 1968 and for 35 years have been developing this beautiful garden

The garden is open every Sunday afternoon 2-5 throughout the year

The front of the house has formal gardens which lead into the natural structures of the two valleys.

Currently there are 358 varieties of Azaleas, 214 varieties of Magnolias and 197 varieties of Berberis

Come and see all of the farm produce at Quickes Cheese Shop, based at the farm in Newton St Cyres. The shop stocks the whole range of Quickes Cheddars plus our own handmade whey butter and ice cream.
